Illustrated book with 27 drawings.

The book by Georg Graf Vitzhum and W.F.Volbach (Wildpark-Potsdam 1924) was in the Giacometti family library and was used by Alberto Giacometti as a basis for his copies. The book bears multiple margin drawings by him.

In addition to the copies there are also sketches of people who sat opposite him at the table or were recalled from memory. There are also small horses of the kind Giacometti liked to draw for his nephew Silvio.
