The 15 nude drawings of the years 1921–1924 were all executed in the Académie de la Grande Chaumière under the direction of Antoine Bourdelle (see GS 081–095). Although drawn during his student period, they are more than simply a routine artistic exercise and bear witness to Giacometti’s precocious maturity.
